About

Who We Are

Vantage Enterprises Ltd. (Vantage) is a Community Support Service Provider based in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.

Vantage was founded in 1995 and incorporated in 1997 by an individual who had passion and vision to create an organization that provided personalized services to individuals with a developmental disability at a time when larger institutionalized service was the norm. In 2008, the current Executive Director introduced a planned expansion that has seen the introduction of new services, federal and provisional research projects, an Alliance for Community Access Services and the expansion of the Residential programs provided.

Working in partnership with individuals, families, communities and government, Vantage actively seeks opportunities for the promotion of individuals to engage and benefit from full citizenship.

Funding

The majority of support services provided by Vantage are provided to eligible recipients of Alberta Human Services funding known as PDD. Vantage does provide fee for service supports and works with Family Managed Services and Children’s services contracts.

Vantage is a member of Alberta Council of Disability Services (ACDS) and has an unbroken record of meeting all quality assurance measures through ‘Creating Excellence Together’ Accreditation since 1995.

Our Mission

Deliver joy-filled opportunity through collaboration and advocacy, promoting independence and respect.

Our Beliefs

Each of us is unique. Our individuality unfolds as alternatives are explored and implemented. These individual preferences are reflected in people’s homes, workplaces and community activities.

Each of us needs positive relationships to grow. Growth is realized through our interconnections and personalized supports. Each individual is encouraged to develop and share talents while building relationships.

Our beliefs are modeled through inclusion and harmony. Through alliances and partnerships we connect to communities. These valued connections are conveyed in all we do, strengthening personal goals of individuals with disabilities.

Our aim is to establish balanced and meaningful environments in which individuals can thrive.

Our Values

Every person is a unique individual with worth.

Every person has the need for self-determination.

Every person has the desire to actualize their dreams.

Every person has the right to be treated with dignity and respect.

Every person has the right to be a valued member within the community.

Every person must have the opportunity to access all community services appropriate to their needs.

Every person has the right to develop a supportive network of individuals that act as mentors.

Every person has the right to give of one’s self and receive from others in return.

These values were developed with and for the individuals supported by Vantage.

Community Access Alliance

In October 2012, Vantage formed an Alliance with Calgary Community Day Services (CCDS) in the provision of Community Access Services. Financial support provided by PDD enabled the Alliance to engage the services of external business professionals. This culminated in the joining/co-existing of Community Access Services from two independent Service Providers through one contract. This has created more opportunities for the individuals receiving support from both agencies.
